This is an embarrassment and an insult to integrity. Towers are part of the character of the Historic town of Mendocino. The owner of the property wanted to build a studio to rent out and tried to make it look like a tower. All they did was build a box and put a tank on the top. The historic review board, charged with maintaining the historic character of the town, wanted to see some diagonals for the framing. The builder just stuck on some 2x diagonals. Shame on him and shame on the board for being so stupid. This tower is behind a commercial building at the corner of Ukiah St. and Kasten St.
